Not buying a MR2 was a smart choice

Granted I still really want one. But, I’ve done pretty well moving my stuff for school in a Miata. I can overfill the trunk and ratchet strap it down. The parcel shelf can fit a duffel bag, and the front seat can fit another. None of this would be possible with a small frunk and passenger seat in a 2nd gen MR2.

An MR2 is like a Miata but interesting

I can’t entirely disagree with you. Finding a non-Mr2 in good shape was also really hard at the time. Finding a NA Miata at the time was not. I’d have an E30 if peeps didn’t want so much for even crappy examples.

The mr2'S frunk is tiny but it does have a real (small) trunk in the back too! my rents had a black 92 na back in the late 90's and it was awesome. always loved em

I was behind a Volvo C70 a few years ago with the top down and a full-size kitchen fridge in there... somehow. Don’t have a pic, unfortunately.

< What the fucking fuck

I think you’re wrong. The MR2 has a trunk and you can overfill it. The frunk isn’t so bad. There is a parcel shelf, though it’s split due to the center console. You can even take one on holiday!

For bonus points, take the roof off, leave it at home while you cart your stuff around. Style doesn’t have to be a trade-off for space - can’t do that in a Miata!

I don’t know how big a Miata’s trunk is, but the MR2 one is decent. It’s properly deep.

In fact if this is what passes for a boot in the Miata, the MR2's rivals it well! Especially when you add in the frunk.

Kinja'd!!!

This just in: an MR2 is better than a Miata in every single way.

Your not helping haha. I still don’t think I could fit much as stuff as I do in my car. Good non-turbo Mr2s also weren’t easy to find.

Maybe. You might be able to fit the same amount of smaller stuff, but less bigger stuff, owing to the fact that there are many smaller areas instead of one big one.

I found a decent non-turbo :) But yes, they have been trashed mostly. The one you posted above is not a good one.

I agree. I’d mr2 over miata any day but the miata never stood a chance due to my sentimental lust.
